Day 20: Audacity
Day 20 of "21 Days of Distinction"
As another new year is about to begin, reflection inevitably sets-in for many. And I'm no exception…
For those who give a hoot... this new year will usher in an adjustment in my approach to my writings. Gone will be the deafening level of diplomacy. In its place will be an audacious and brazen approach to communicating my “seeing things” philosophy the “RockStar Way.”
Out goes the contrived consensus approach. In comes the more honest, edgy approach that more accurately portrays my personality. Like it, love it, or loathe it will make little difference in the delivery as I carry on undaunted. As I always implore, the time is now. It’s about action over apprehension.
You see, I've done it the way I've done it, and gotten what I've gotten. Good, but not great. But good isn’t good enough. I’m attracted to those who do what they say can’t be done. I’m attracted to those who dare to dream and put their authentic vision & voice out there. I’m attracted to great.
The Way I See It: Greatness is reserved for those who pursue it.
The content and core messages will remain largely unchanged. The vehicles and delivery methods will remain largely unchanged as well. What will primarily be changing is the tone, the timbre, and the style with which I communicate my messages. It will be less telling YOU thereby selling ME, and more telling ME thereby selling YOU.
Because you are me, and I am you. Because we're all more similar than different at the core.
I hope you choose to tune-in and share with others. If not, it’s all good.
Life is short. Have the audacity to be the best at what YOU do the best. Follow that path and don’t let anyone or anything deter you from your passions... not just on the eve of a new year, but all year long.
I’m practicing what I preach...
