mind the gap

Good intentions don't pay the bills. Making an impact on a grand scale without resources is impossible. Availability of ample resources allows good intentions to be realized. Having a heart in the right place is equally as important as having a wallet in the right place to support the effort. You've got to to mind the gap; resolving to solve the deficit.

We may be doing a lot of things right, but we also need to do more of the right things (high-payoff activities) for tangible results to see the light of day. The elusive balance between ideal and real is required.
